Just a few months removed from setting records as a high school pitcher for the Hudson Lady Hornets softball team, Kelsee Selman earned her first victory as an LSU Tiger in dominating fashion.

The LSU freshman got the start Sunday afternoon against Central Arkansas and Selman struck out 13 en route to an 8-1 complete game victory.  It was Selman's third appearance in the circle in this young season for LSU.  She worked two scoreless innings in relief against the University of Texas, and then she started this weekend against Murray State.  In that game, Selman worked just under 2 innings while having some control issues while walking 5.

However, on Sunday, the Hudson native regained her composure and her power in the 13 strike out performance.  It's great to see an East Texan doing so well on the bigger stage.
