Hudson Students Make All-State Band

Major congratulations are in order for Hudson Band members Katie Vandergriff, Darren Castilaw, Trevor Curtis, and Chandler Morris (pictured above).  They were named to the All-State Band. 

The great news was revealed Wednesday night at the Texas Music Educators Association Conference in San Antonio.  In the 4A Division, Morris placed #1 in jazz guitar, Castilaw placed #3 in bari-sax, Vandergriff placed #3 in french horn, and Curtis placed #4 in clarinet.

These students are in the top 2.6% of musicians in the state of Texas.  It has taken countless hours of practice and numerous auditions against many other musicians to achieve these accomplishments.  A huge shout out goes out to Brad Comeaux (Hudson Director of Bands), the entire Hudson band department, and all the parents, educators, and administrators that supported these efforts.
