Hudson’s Kelsee Selman Named SEC Pitcher of the Week

Kelsee Selman pitched the Hudson Lady Hornets to back to back 3A state championships, but how would she perform on a much larger stage.  How about a 4-0 record for the #24 LSU Tigers which includes a recent no-hitter and this week's honor of being name the Southeastern Conference's Softball Pitcher of the Week. 

In that past week, Selman picked up two victories while pitching 8.1 innings.  She only gave up one hit in those two games and she had the no-hit win against Jackson State.  Plus, this past Tuesday (3/4), Selman came in relief and shut down the upset-minded Northwestern State Demons on the road to pick up another victory.

For the young season, Selman is 4-0 with a 1.62 ERA.  She has struck out 44 while working 30 innings.  The opposing team's batting average against her is a paltry .106 which leads the team.

On a personal note, Kelsee is the type of person who goes out of her way to help others.  She has a great work ethic and strong Christian values which is wonderful to witness in such outstanding individual.
