This was the season that the Huntington Devilettes were supposed to be in a bit of a rebuilding mode.

Apparently, the folks that said that must be the same folks that have been trying to forecast the weather recently.

After finishing 2nd in a very tough district, Huntington hasn't lost a game through the class 3A playoffs and are now set to make the trip to Austin for the state tournament

The last time the Devilettes went to Austin was 2008, and they brought home the championship hardware...the goal is the same in 2011.

This year's playoff run has been impressive, especially so because it seems in every game, it's a different individual or group of ladies that lead the charge and get the job done.  It's a great exhibition of a true team effort.

A special thanks to some of the team members who made the trip to KICKS 105's Merrell in the Morning Show this morning to talk about the season.
