It's been 4 years since Carlie Thomas took to the pitcher's circle as a Huntington Devilette, but as a senior for the SFA Ladyjacks softball team she continues to bring the heat and baffle batters.

At a tournament this past weekend in Houston, the Ladyjacks took on the 8th-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers.  Thomas worked the complete game giving up six hits while striking out five in earning the shutout victory.  The Ladyjacks won the game 1-0 with the lone run being scored by Heather Hollingsworth, another Huntington graduate.

SFA will be back in action on Wednesday at Lake Charles to take on McNeese State.  The Ladyjacks won't play at home until they open conference play on March 8th against Nicholls State February 26th against Texas Southern.
