I Met George Strait — But I Didn’t Get An Autographed Guitar

Yes....that's me with George Strait.

It was around 1983 in Austin, I was 19, and the only thing that concerned me more than actually getting to meet George Strait (only a couple of number ones at that time), was to make sure I sucked in my cheeks and pushed back the sleeves of my satin jacket so that I could look....cooool.

Oh yeah...I also stood on my toes, George is not that short.
