Christmas should not be a time of uncertainty, fears, and instability, but, unfortunately, for many children in the area...it is.  There are a quite a few foster kids in the area who want nothing more than necessities or just a basic toy for Christmas.

Impact Nac is trying to provide for these needs and they're looking for your help.

Impact (Imagine Many People All Coming Together) Nac is a non-profit group with no paid employees with all proceeds go to providing for Foster Children, which they do year-round.  However, there is a special campaign during the Christmas season to provide Christmas gifts/ clothes/ necessities for foster children in Nacogdoches.

Impact Nac gets a wish list and clothing sizes from the children, foster parents, and CPS caseworkers, then do our best to provide some of those things to each child. Angel trees are at Cotton Patch, Chili’s, and 20/20 EyeCare in Nacogdoches.  You can also find some of those angels on our Christmas tree at the KICKS 105 studios in Lufkin.

We are down to the last week before Christmas and at this writing Impact Nac is still in need to supply gifts for 54 kids.  Most of these are older boys and girls whose wish lists are made up of things like shoes, jackets, backpacks, and toys like a football or soccer ball. Gifts need not be wrapped.

These are kids who, through no fault of their own, are going through some scary uncertainties in their lives. And because these children are many times coming through Child Protective Services and Foster programs, they must remain anonymous to you.

But, isn't that all part of the Christmas Spirit?  Helping those in need doesn't need to come with a face or name.

Will you please help?   Let's do God's work.
