Jana Kramer waltzed her way into a perfect score in a stunning performance on Monday night on Dancing With the Stars.

Kramer and dance partner Gleb Savchenko really came through on a night whose theme was Showstoppers Night, delivering a beautifully coordinated waltz that stunned the audience and judges alike, earning a perfect 40 out of 40 points from all of the judges, which included guest judge Idina Menzel. The performance -- set to "She Used to Be Mire" from the musical Waitress -- marked the second time the partners have received a perfect score, after a scorching tango a few weeks ago that was among the hottest dances the show has ever seen.

Even more impressive is the fact that the partners had to overcome significant adversity this week to perform together at all, after Savchenko had to sit out most of rehearsals after a knee injury.

The partners actually earned two perfect scores on Monday, after teaming with Val Chmerkovskiy and Laurie Hernandez for a contemporary dance to the music of Sia’s “Bird Set Free.” Even so, they wound up in line for possible elimination, but were not voted off the show.

Kramer is turning in one strong performance after another on DWTS, but her personal life has been rocky in recent months. She separated from her husband of 15 months, Michael Caussin, in August amid allegations that he cheated on her repeatedly during the marriage, and then shocked her fans when she revealed that her first husband, Michael Gambino, went to prison for her attempted murder after abusing her emotionally and physically throughout their marriage.

Kramer says she has gained a new strength and confidence since welcoming her daughter, Jolie Rae, in January, and this week's dance was a celebration of how far she's come.

“This was a week for us to celebrate my journey, which has become our journey,” she tells People. The "Circles" singer says the waltz “[tells] the story of a woman who is in a really bad situation, and it’s messy, and she’s lost, but it’s all about getting back to the person she knows she can be and knowing her worth.”

“I’ve struggled with that for a long time,” Kramer adds, “and Gleb — and DWTS — has been a big part of helping me move forward.”
