Jon Pardi has had a breakthrough year, and it probably won't end with his gold-certified album.

During a tour stop in Sacramento, Calif. on Dierks Bentley's What the Hell Tour on Saturday (Aug. 19), Pardi got the surprise of a lifetime when Bentley invited him out onstage to surprise him with a plaque commemorating his first gold-certified album, California Sunrise, which has officially sold 500,000 copies.

“That was definitely a surprise, and for it to be acknowledged in front of a hometown crowd of 18,000 in Northern California, amongst my friends and family and early supporters, made it an emotional moment. I will never forget it," Pardi says of the exciting accolade in a press release.

In addition to debuting at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, Pardi's California Sunrise also scored two back-to-back No. 1 hits with "Head Over Boots" and "Dirt on My Boots" on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. The album's current single, "Heartache on the Dance Floor," is currently in the Top 15.

Pardi has a jam-packed tour schedule ahead of him as he continues to open for Bentley alongside Cole Swindell on tour before hitting the road with Luke Bryan on his 2017 Farm Tour that kicks off Sept. 28 in Lincoln, Neb., and wraps up on Oct. 7. The fast-rising superstar has announced he'll also be headlining the CMT on Tour gig, titled the Lucky Tonight Tour, later in 2017, bringing Taste of Country RISERS Runaway June and "Drinkin' Problem" singers Midland along with him.
