For one of country’s biggest stars, Kenny Chesney is building quite an impressive heavy metal collection.

Chesney’s latest album, ‘Hemingway’s Whiskey,’ was recently certified platinum for sales of one million copies by the RIAA, becoming the 10th of his 14 releases to reach one of the industry’s most esteemed sales milestones.

Since its release a year ago this week, ‘Hemingway’s Whiskey’ has spun off four hit singles, with the first three — ‘The Boys of Fall,’ ‘Somewhere with You,’ and ‘Live a Little’ — reaching number one. The fourth, Chesney’s duet with Grace Potter, ‘You and Tequila,’ is currently rising up the top five.

And speaking of rising up, Chesney also recently contributed the theme song to this year’s edition of the ESPN documentary series ‘Rise Up,’ which follows the sports facility makeovers of four American schools. It’s available for purchase via iTunes.
