There are only a handful of masterpiece Halloween movies, and "Hocus Pocus" ranks up in the top 3, if not the #1 best. So we're showing it as our first movie in 2017's Free Movies in the Park at Ellen Trout Park.

It's a Walt Disney production, and it's family friendly with more laughs than scares, and we're showing it on the big screen at Free Movies in the Park on October 12th.

This will be the best way to kick off the Halloween season, as we're invited families out to dress in costumes as part of "costume night."

Your costume doesn't even have to be a reference to the movies we're showing that night, which means you will be able to get more out of your Halloween get up than just wearing it for one night only. Maybe use this time to workshop your costume idea and see how other East Texans like it.

Coming to the Ellen Trout Park and viewing the movie is absolutely free, but there will be vendors on sight. Bring cash just in case they aren't able to take debit or credit cards.

If you've never been to one of our Free Movies in the Park events, be sure to bring a blanket, or some lawn chairs, and anything else you'll need to feel comfortable watching this great movie under the stars.

If you've got little ones about, be sure to leave and make room for the next audience, as we'll be showing "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" right after "Hocus Pocus" ends, and that movie isn't very "family friendly," and rated R. You've been warned.

To recap;
What: Free showing of "Hocus Pocus" THEN "Rocky Horror Picture Show"
Where: Ellen Trout Park in Lufkin TX
When: The movie will start at sundown on October 12th, but vendors and other fun things to do will be available beforehand. "Rocky Horror Picture Show" will begin after Hocus Pocus ends.

A big thanks goes out to Badder's Law Firm for sponsoring this year's event.
