Woodville Native Kree Harrison Joins the Top 10 on ‘American Idol’
As if there were any doubt.
Harrison has consistently been one of the standout vocalists in the competition, winning universal praise from the judges time and again with exceptionally strong performances of Grace Potter’s ‘Stars’, 'Up on the Mountain' by Patty Griffin, and most recently, the Faith Hill track 'Stronger.'
The Texas-born has traveled a hard road to 'American Idol.' Her father died in a plane crash when she was 12, and she also lost her mom in a car accident just a few years later. Harrison is a veteran of the Nashville music scene; she briefly had a record deal with Lyric Street, as well as a song publishing deal.
Continuing with her growing tradition of bringing some pretty outside song choices to the mainstream competition, Harrison performed Susan Tdeschi's 'Evidence' as her victory song, delivering the hands-down best vocal performance of the night and demonstrating once again why she is one of the clear frontrunners in the competition.
