Lee Ann Womack has a new recording home and a new album in the works!

The 'I Hope You Dance Singer' has recently found a new recording family with Sugar Hill Records, and even better -- she's planning to release a new record in the fall! Womack parted ways with Universal Music Group’s MCA Nashville division in 2012 and has been searching for a new record label ever since.

“When I was looking for the right home for this record I knew I wanted a label where passion for music and artistic integrity drive the decision-making," Womack says. "Beyond the incredible work Sugar Hill has done with Nickel Creek, Sarah Jarosz and Bryan Sutton, they have a broader way of looking at where music can go and why it matters -- and for this very personal record, it seemed like the perfect fit.”

Womack's new record will come after quite a hiatus. It's been almost six years since her 2008 album 'Call Me Crazy' hit shelves. Fans are ready to hear more of what the acclaimed country star has to offer. Confident in her decision to partner with Sugar Hill, Womack is excited too.

"I have always loved country music with my entire being,” she says. "And I think the gift of a genre that’s built on real life is that there is always room for great songs, and the truth."

Womack's seventh, as yet untitled, album will hit shelves in September, with a first single dropping as soon as the summer. Her husband Frank Liddell is producing the project.
