One of the all-time greatest coaches in college football history passed away in Austin this morning.  Royal had been battling Alzheimers. 

Royal's name is synonymous with the University of Texas.  He became head coach of the football team in 1956 and introduced the Wishbone offense to the Longhorns.  His teams won 11 Southwest Conference Championships, 10 Cotton Bowls, and were national champs two times.
