As a genre, country music is still reeling after the death of Montgomery Gentry singer Troy Gentry. But some happiness can still be found. Little Big Town did their part to bring a little joy and honor Gentry's memory during a residency show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium over the weekend.

The group covered MoGent's hit song "My Town," and they had the entire crowd singing along with them. The short clip of the performance ends with a huge round of applause from the audience and a standing ovation. The foursome played shows on Friday (Sept. 15) and Saturday (Sept. 16).

This performance is from Saturday night, and it's just one of many odes to Gentry that country artists have offered since his death. Jason AldeanChris Stapleton and many others have also performed live covers of Montgomery Gentry songs in honor of their late friend.

Little Big Town were also on hand to honor Gentry's life at his memorial service on Sept. 14 at the Grand Ole Opry. They appeared along with many other country music artists to perform in Gentry's memory. More than 1,500 people including family, friends and fans attended the service, which was live streamed online.

Gentry died in a helicopter accident in Medford, N.J., on Sept. 8, just hours before Montgomery Gentry were due to perform a show in the area. An early report from the National Transportation Safety Board found that the pilot, James Evan Robinson, reported mechanical issues with the helicopter's throttle — the men were hovering, awaiting help when the crash occurred. Both Robinson and Gentry, 50, died in the accident.
