December is here, Rudolph the Red Nosed Pumping Unit is in full swing, the Christmas lights are up, and now it's time for the annual Lufkin Lighted Christmas Parade

The annual holiday spectacle is set to start at 6 this evening in downtown Lufkin.  This year's theme is 'Candyland'.  The parade will start in front of the Lufkin Convention Center and travel down First Street before turning east on Shepherd.  Then, the route will go north on Second Street, east on Frank, south on Third, west on Burke, north on First, then to Jackson Street before heading north on Angelina.

Because of the longer and more winding route, there will be many more areas to view the parade, but be sure and bundle up.  With the passage of this morning's cold front temperatures at parade time should be between 45-50 degrees.

Over 100 entries will be a part of this year's parade including the KICKS 105 Dr. Pepper Prize Patrol Van.  We'll see you there!
