Lufkin and Nacogdoches Halloween Family Attractions
Halloween attractions and fun events are beginning to spring up again all over Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and East Texas! As it (slowly) starts to cool off, we're getting our costumes ready and looking forward to loading up on as much candy as we can carry!

Pumpkin Patch Express
Texas State RailroadBook your tickets now for one of the best Halloween attractions in the area. The Texas State Railroad pulls out all the stops on this train journey, departing from their Rusk depot every weekend in October. You can look forward to a pumpkin patch (every kid on board will get their own gourd to take home), hayride, games, and snacks! Kids - don't forget your costumes for even more fun. Check out their Facebook page for more information.

ZooBoo
Ellen Trout ZooCome on out to ZooBoo at Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin on October 25 and 26! This year, we're looking forward to trick-or-treating and all kinds of fun games, not to mention the excitement of being at the zoo after dark! And what's the best part for Mom & Dad? Admission is the same low price as usual to enjoy all the extra spooktacular fun.

Scare on the Square
Downtown NacogdochesA recent Facebook update from Scare on the Square says it all: "Pony rides, train rides, and a petting zoo! My oh my!" Get your costume on and get excited for trick-or-treating on Nacogdoches' Main Street on October 26 from 4-7pm. There will be a ton of food vendors (I heard someone say kettle corn!), a costume contest, and best of all -- tons of candy!

Lufkin Downtown Halloween Trick-or-Treat
Downtown LufkinOn Thursday, October 31 kids ages 12 and under (and their parents) are invited to Downtown Lufkin for trick-or-treating! Businesses will be handing out treats, so you'll have to supply the tricks! This event is always a hit, with over 2,000 little ghouls and goblins attending last year alone. The best window decorations will win prizes, so you know you won't want to miss them!

Jaycees Haunted House
Nacogdoches MallThe Nacogdoches Junior Chamber and Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity once again will team up to scare the living daylights out of anyone foolish enough to venture into the Nacogdoches University Mall, in the former Bealls, from October 25-31. They'll be out there from 7pm until everyone's scared! They're keeping their specific spooking plans under wraps, but they're going to have 15 haunted rooms and you can bet that they will go all out to frighten anyone that crosses their path.
