Lufkin School Bus Involved in Morning Accident

A Lufkin ISD school bus was involved in a minor accident Tuesday morning at Paul Avenue and Loop 287. Reportedly, the driver in a car following the bus was distracted and rear-ended school bus #39. There were 27 students on the bus traveling from Herty Primary school on their way to Coston Elementary.  All students and the driver appeared to be fine after the incident. Paramedics will be on hand at Coston Elementary to evaluate all of the students for any minor injuries. Kelley Wesley, Director of Transportation, said, "It was a minor incident where a car hit the back of a bus. All of the students were in their seats, and everyone appears to be fine."
