A 53-year-old Trinity County man was arrested Thursday in connection with burglaries that have been occurring in the Diboll area.  According to sheriff's department, Curtis Gabehart, who has an extensive criminal history, has confessed to multiple burglaries throughout the county. 

Gabehart has been officially charged thus far with two state jail felony Burglary of Buildings.  More charges may be filed.  Gabehart has mainly been stealing outdoor equipment and different items from garages and storage buildings.

On Thursday morning, a concerned citizen became aware of the rash of burglaries that had been happening recently in the Southern part of Angelina County and called law enforcement with the possible location of a suspect's vehicle.  The citizen then called  back later and advised authorities that her coworker was following the vehicle. This information was radioed to other law enforcement who eventually stopped Gabehart and placed him under arrest. Angelina County Sheriff's Office detectives, patrol, TX Ranger, Constable 1 and 4, and County Attorney Investigator, assisted in the stop.
