Every year in Angelina and Trinity counties, Brian Crews and his group of hard working volunteers put together the Toys for Tots Drive.  Their big toy drive event is coming up this Friday and Saturday (Dec 4th and 5th) in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter in Lufkin.

New, unwrapped toys along with monetary donations are appreciated.  And you won't have any difficulty spotting the Marine Reservists in the parking lot, they'll be surrounded by huge, green trucks, heck, this year, they're even bringing a cannon.

The local Toys for Tots response over the past several weeks has been good, but as is usually the case, more toys and gifts are needed for those children between the ages of 10-14.  If you're not sure what to get a kid that falls in that age category, just give Toys for Tots money and they'll do the shopping for you.

If you can't make it by the big toy drive this Friday or Saturday, they're are many other toy drop off points across the area and these will be accepting toys for about another week or two.
