Meet the SFA Basketball Teams Tonight

College basketball season is just around the corner, in fact, the SFA Lumberjack and Ladyjack basketball teams will open their season in the first few days of November.

Every year, just before the season starts, the Nacogdoches Rotary Club hosts a fish fry get together with your opportunity to meet the players and coaches, and that happens tonight. 

The event gets under way around 6 at the First United Methodist Church, just next door to the Hotel Fredonia.  The buffet style fish fry will be served up around 6:30 with the team introductions to follow.

The SFA Lumberjacks boasts one of the highest winning percentages in Texas college basketball over the past 12 years, in fact, second only to the University of Texas.  Meanwhile, the SFA Ladyjacks were within one win of advancing to the NCAA tournament last year and the chatter has already started about just how great this year's team could be.

Tickets for tonight's event are $10 at the door.  Axe 'em, Jacks!!
