Country legend Merle Haggard has canceled four remaining January tour dates to recover from pneumonia. It’s not clear when, if at all, the 74-year-old will reschedule shows originally planned for Paducah, Ky., Lula, Miss., Ft. Worth, Texas and Tulsa, Okla.

According to his website, Haggard’s next touring commitment isn’t until late February, giving him plenty of time to rest and get well. CBS reports that Haggard was still in a Macon, Ga. hospital as of Wednesday, after taking ill before a set on Tuesday. As a result, the singer also canceled a show scheduled for Wednesday in Columbus, Ga.

Haggard’s manager Frank Mull had previously said that the ‘Mama Tried’ singer had been feeling off since they left Northern California last week. In August, Haggard had to postpone a show in Ft. Worth, Texas after being hospitalized for an unknown ailment.

The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee released his new album ‘Working in Tennessee’ in October.
