1 Stop = 3 DUIs

If you are arrested for DUI, be sure the person you call to pick you up at the police station isn’t also intoxicated.

The series of arrests began about 1:45 a.m. Monday when police stopped Carmen Reategui, 34, was seen swerving and was pulled over.  Police smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle and arrested Reategui after she failed field sobriety tests.

While Reategui was at the station, police said, she called Nina Petracca, 23, for a ride home. However, when Petracca showed up at police headquarters, she was visibly intoxicated and also failed sobriety tests.

Later, both women called Ryan Hogan, 33, for a ride.  But Hogan had been drinking and he, too, failed sobriety tests after arriving at the station, police said.

All three were eventually released to a fourth, sober, adult.
