Throughout the Summer, Brookshire Brothers grocery stores in Texas and Louisiana have been giving shoppers the opportunity to win cash and prizes with their 'Price is Right' promotion.  Saturday afternoon at the Texas Forest Festival, this will culminate with millions of dollars up for grabs.

Three Brookshire Brothers customers will be juggling a little more pocket change after they play Money Bags Live on Saturday, September 23rd at the Texas State Forest Festival. At the conclusion of Brookshire Brothers’ summer promotion, The Price is Right, three shoppers qualified for the chance to win $1 million each.

A spokesperson for the employee-owned grocer says “The Texas State Forest Festival is the perfect venue for this first-of-its-kind event. As the presenting sponsor, we thought it would be an excellent addition to the festival from both an entertainment and advertising perspective, as we promote Lufkin and the festival beyond East Texas. It’s an event rooted in family and community, which speaks to our core values.”

Playing the game in front of an audience of festival-goers are Phillip Solly from Rusk, Misty Lee from Fred, and Kathryn Thompson from Hempstead. Each contestant will pick from 40 bags, all of which have a different denomination of money. When the customer has 5 matching denominations of money, that’s the amount they win.

There’s more at stake on Saturday for Forest Festival attendees! Brookshire Brothers and the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce are giving away round trip tickets for two to see The Price is Right in Los Angeles. Brookshire Brothers will also be drawing for thousands of dollars in gift cards.

The Money Bags Live will begin at 1:00 on the Main Stage in the George H. Henderson Exposition Center.  KICKS 105's Danny Merrell will be emceeing the event dressed to the glasses as Drew Carey.
