Miranda Lambert is a leader as one of the prominent females in modern-day country music, but she knows to respect those who came before her. She tipped a hat to Patsy Cline with a subtle rendition of the icon's "Crazy" at a recent show in the U.K.

The country superstar delivers a modest performance of the song, using nothing but an acoustic guitar and her voice to carry it through. Like Cline, Lambert brings to life a host of emotion and soul in her delivery as she sings "I'm crazy / For thinkin' that my love / Could hold you / I'm crazy for cryin' / And crazy for tryin' / And I'm crazy for lovin' you." While she honors Cline's classic, she also incorporates her own flair, hitting the sweet notes with just a hint of her trademark strength and grit.

Female Trailblazers Who Are Changing Country Music

Lambert has been all about the covers lately, tackling U2's hit "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" during her headlining set at the 2017 Faster Horses Festival in Michigan, inviting two of her friends to join her for a rendition of Merle Haggard's "Sing Me Back Home" and surprising the crowd during Little Big Town's residency at the Ryman in July to sing a fierce cover of "Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks.

"Vice," the lead single off Lambert' chart-topping 2016 album The Weight of These Wings, has been certified platinum, while the album's most recent single, "Tin Man," currently sits in the Top 15 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. She is set to reunite with her Pistol Annies sidekicks Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley for a new album soon — they're eyeing 2018 release.
