One by one, new songs from Miranda Lambert's The Weight of These Wings album are being released. The singer made "Highway Vagabond" available to fans on Friday (Nov. 4).

The uptempo country cut is part rebel, party raconteur. Luke Dick, Natalie Hemby and Shane McAnally wrote the song, track No. 2 on "The Nerve" side of a two-disc project, set to drop Nov. 11.

The song is about floating from adventure to adventure. A shuffling beat and Middle Eastern inspired instrumentation (is that a sitar?) bring even more gypsy soul.

“Highway vagabond, living like hippies / Moving right along to the next big city,” Lambert sings. “Okay, jump off the exit / Truck stop, rest stop, next stop Texas / Caravan like a wild west show / I don’t care man as long as we go my way / Singing for your supper / Get off of one and get on other highway / Vagabonds.”

The song is also the title of Lambert's 2017 tour with Aubrie Sellers and Old Dominion. "Highway Vagabond" makes three songs now available from The Weight of These Wings, Lambert's sixth studio album and her first in over two years. In addition to the single "Vice," she's released "The Keeper of the Flame."

Luke Dick revealed lambert had put the song on hold. He played the track during a songwriter's concert in East Nashville over the summer.
