I'm a huge fan of Texas/Red Dirt Music.  There are quite a few Texas-based artists that have broken through and are making their name known through this niche, such as the Josh Abbott Band, Cody Johnson, Kyle Park, and Randy Rogers, just to name a few.

I have heard of the Josh Weathers Band, but they haven't scored a major hit in the Texas Music scene yet.  I haven't seen them in concert yet, but after taking a look at their website and hearing samples of their brand of 'Texas Soul', I really want to.

After watching a video of  Josh Weathers perform his acoustic rendition of Whitney Houston's version of 'I Will Always Love You', seeing him in concert has become a top priority.

The range in his voice is just obscene - in a good way.  His performance is our Merrell in the Morning Video of the Day.
