Moody Gardens Penguins Roam Around in KICKS 105 Studio
Several times each year, our friends from Moody Gardens in Galveston pay a visit to the Merrell in the Morning Show on KICKS 105 to talk about their attractions, and with apologies to Forrest Gump, you never know what you're gonna get. This time around, we got Atacama and Damas, a couple of Humboldt penguins, and we had a blast!!
These two are basically boyfriend and girlfriend and it was wonderful watching them investigate during their 30 minutes in the KICKS 105 Studios. I thought we might have penguins joining us this morning, so I went searching on YouTube for the call of the Humboldt penguin. I found several recordings, edited them together, and then played it for our two visitors. It definitely got their attention as you can see in the video.
Moody Gardens really needs to be on your list of places to visit during the Summer. Of course, you'll find the penguins in the Aquarium Pyramid along with many creatures of the deep. From the Rainforest Pyramid to the 3D and 4D movies, SpongeBob SubPants submarine voyage, Dinos Alive, Palm Beach, and much, much more, it's really deserving of more than a day trip.
