Yup, you're reading the map correctly.  Between 4-7 inches of rain could fall in the Pineywoods over the next week.  I don't know about you, but I've already gotten my riding mower stuck at least a half dozen times.  Actually, today and Wednesday look pretty good with very little chances for rain, however, Thursday through next Tuesday is when we're expecting our fair share, more than our fair share of off and on downpours.

The map above shows that the potential for the largest rainfall amounts range from Rusk to Carthage to Shreveport to Little Rock, but Tyler, Longview, Lufkin and Nacogdoches look to get a drenching as well.  Yes, it has been an extremely wet Winter and start to Spring, but I'll still take this over the monumental drought that the West Coast is experiencing.
