This Saturday night is a night for dancing, raising money for a great cause, dancing, fellowship, dancing, and having fun.

It's a Dancehall Saturday night at Banita Creek Hall in Nacogdoches with the emphasis on keeping the dance floor full.  First of all, this is the annual Nacogdoches Go Texan Committee's fund raiser and dance at Banita Creek Hall. However, this year they have invited me, Danny Merrell, to spin the tunes.

Same of you may remember that every Thursday through Saturday night I was the club DJ at a place called Bullwinkles in Nacogdoches.  The bar was not even close to being as nice as Banita Creek Hall, but we had a great time and we kept the dance floor full.

That's going to be my goal this Saturday night.  I'll be playing the great songs for two steps, double time two steps, waltzes, shuffles, jitterbugs, and more.  And, of course, we'll throw in some old school pop and rock and roll.

The doors will open at 7 and I'll start spinning the tunes between 8-8:30.

You up for it?

Then, put on your dancing boots and let's do some buckle rubbing.
