The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) is seeking the public’s help in locating a wanted fugitive. A warrant has been obtained for the arrest of Royce Earl Sessions, 41, from Nacogdoches, Texas.

Deputies were dispatched to a call Thursday morning shortly before 2 am in reference to a stabbing call on County Road 265, near Appleby. Upon arrival deputies found a male victim inside the residence with a cut mark around his throat. Deputies immediately started giving first aid treatment to the victim until EMS arrived.

Upon further investigation it was found that the suspect allegedly forced his way into the residence by prying open a door. The residence belonged to his estranged wife where Session had not lived at in months. Once inside the residence, the suspect allegedly pinned the victim against a wall and cut him with a knife.  The female inside the residence was able to get away and run to a residence to call for help.

Upon deputies’ arrival, the suspect had fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he still remains receiving medical treatment for his injuries.  After further investigation, deputies obtained a warrant for Sessions' arrest. The warrants were issued on Thursday morning for Burglary of a Habitation with intent to commit assault, a 1st  degree felony.

Royce Sessions is believed to be on the run and should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information on his whereabouts you are asked to contact the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office at 936-560-7777 or your local law enforcement agency.
