March 3rd-6th, the city of Nacogdoches could make a strong case to be the live music capital of Texas.  That's because over 30 bands and artists will be performing at downtown Nacogdoches venues during the annual Nacogdoches Music Festival.

Numerous musical genres will be represented including Country, Red Dirt, Americana, Blues, Rock, R&B, and maybe even a few genres that have yet to be defined.  Acts such as Clay Walker, Chris Knight, Uncle Lucius, Chubby Knuckle Choir, Shinyribs, and many others will be on stage at venues such as the Liberty Bell Bar, Banita Creek Hall Mill Room, and Mast Hall.   A $35 ticket will allow you access to all shows with the exception of the Clay Walker concert at Banita Creek Hall.  That show is sold out.
