'The Good Stuff' by Kenny Chesney, 'It Just Comes Natural' by George Strait, 'Big Green Tractor' by Jason Aldean, 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not' by Thompson Square, 'Everybody Wants to go to Heaven' by Kenny Chesney - what's the one common strain of these songs?

They were all written or co-written by Nacogdoches High School graduate Jim Collins.  Collins has made Nashville his home for quite some time now, but he's still very proud of his East Texas roots and often travels back to the Oldest Town in Texas.  He's one of the nicest and most humble guys you'd ever want to meet.

And, of course, he continues to write songs.

Today, (9/9), in fact, Easton Corbin is releasing his latest single, Baby Be My Love Song, which was co-written by Jim Collins. Plus, Jim has a song on the new Dustin Lynch album as well as a song that Reba will be releasing on a project soon.

Danny Merrell from the Merrell in the Morning Show had a chance to catch up with Jim Collins
