Names Released in Fatal Lufkin Accident

The names of those involved in Tuesday morning's two vehicle accident have been released.  The following is from the official Lufkin Police Department's press release.  

At approximately 11:00am on May 13, officers of the Lufkin Police Department were dispatched to a traffic accident located on S. First St. (Hwy 59S) and College Dr. (FM 819). The Lufkin P.D. Traffic Division conducted an investigation and determined that Jose Hernandez 49 of Houston, Texas, was driving a 2009 Freightliner with a van type trailer. Hernandez had been traveling north on S. First and was stopped for a red light. Katrina Holloway 19 of Glendale, Wisconsin, was traveling north on S. First in a 1997 Volvo. Katrina’s mother, Susan Holloway 52 also of Glendale, Wisconsin, was in the front passenger seat. Katrina failed to stop for the traffic at the red light causing the front of the Volvo to collide with the back of the trailer. Both Katrina and Susan were pronounced dead at the scene.
