There is power in prayer.  And when a crowd is gathered to pray to God, there is even more power in prayer.

Today marks the 61st anniversary of nation's official observance of the National Day of PrayerBack in 1952, President Harry Truman signed a joint resolution into law to make a national day of prayer an annual event.  (too bad we still don't have that kind of wisdom and leadership in Washington today)

There will be many observances of this day around East Texas, one of those will be taking place in downtown Lufkin at Louis Bronough Park at 300 East Shepherd.  Beginning at noon, representatives from area businesses, churches, government, and others will be leading folks in prayer.

You are cordially invited to this event.

May God bless  you.
