National Pets Day – Meet Sammie The Hedgehog

In honor of national pets day (April 11) I would like to introduce you to my family's pet Sammie.

Sammie is a hedgehog. Similar to other pets, Sammie loves to be held and played with.

We just have to make sure we have the proper protective gear. I'm not an expert on hedgehogs but I do know this, they are jittery little rascals with lots of spikes. From our experience, Sammie's main purpose on this earth is to sleep all day (being nocturnal) and run while pooping all night. The amount of feces a hedgehog can produce is truly impressive! Just something to note if considering a hedgehog as your next pet.

Just knowing how much a hedgehog can poop makes me very worried for the folks under this balloon!
