In my wildest dreams as a Spider-Man-loving kid, I could have never imagined Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Not just an awesome animated Spidey movie, but a Spidey movie will so many Spider-Men in it. Peter Parker (voiced by Jake Johnson) is here, and so is Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) and Spider-Man: Noir (Nicolas Cage) and ... Spider-Ham? I honestly am wondering if I fell into an alternate dimension myself. Or maybe i just banged my head. But how can this be real? Spider-Ham?!?!?!

That’s the premise here, based on a recent Spider-Man storyline; there are many worlds out in the multiverse, each with their own Spider-Man. Here’s the official synopsis:

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

I love the nods to the Raimi movies in here, and the fact that Spider-Ham is drawn in a different animation style than the other characters because he’s a cartoon pig who has the proportional strength of a spider. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse opens in theaters on December 14.
