The new songs released to radio in December 2015 will become the first hits of 2016. Carrie Underwood has one. Cole Swindell just dropped a powerful new ballad. Frankie Ballard and Jennifer Nettles released first singles from a new album. A December 2015 list of new songs list wouldn't be complete without holiday music, however.

Kristian Bush, Craig Wayne Boyd, LeAnn Rimes and Kellie Pickler all have new Christmas songs aimed at radio airplay before Santa calls it a season. Christmas can also be a time for romance or rekindled romance. Luke Bryan and Dylan Scott have what you need this month. "Home Alone Tonight" is the third single from Bryan's Kill the Lights album.

Don't overlook new songs from newcomers Maren Morris and Steve Moakler. One year ago Old Dominion were in their position as artists looking for a first hit. Now, in December 2015, the country group have released a second single to radio. Fans are eating up "Snapback" faster than they did "Break Up With Him."
