According to a release from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office (NCSO), for over six months the department has been conducting ongoing investigations concerning the use and delivery of illicit narcotics in the county.  The main purpose of the operation is to target high level dealers that are selling narcotics in our area.

On the morning of June 21st, the NCSO implemented phase 1 of the operation.  Three residences were identified as areas in which large amounts of drugs were being sold. During the investigation, detectives established probable cause for search warrants at all three houses.  Shortly after 5 am, a task force of Sheriff's Deputies and Sheriff's Investigators executed all three search warrants.

Four arrests were made due to the executions of these search warrants. Drugs ranging from crack cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy pills, codeine, and marijuana were seized. Five guns were also seized during the search warrant. Four of those guns were found to be stolen.

Four men were arrested in connections to these searches that were conducted on Ernest Street, South Fredonia, and Mackechney Street in the city of Nacogdoches. The residence on South Fredonia where marijuana was being sold and in which two stolen guns were found was located next door to a middle school. One of the occupants inside the residence was found inside his bedroom with a loaded pistol in his hand. He was quickly subdued by the entry team. The residence on Ernest Street was located less that a 1000 feet from a day care center.
