Portion of Loop 287 in Lufkin to be Closed Due to Accident

The southbound side of Loop 287 at Atkinson Drive will be down to one lane until at least noon as a crew works to remove a 45,000 pound piece of sheet metal from the median after an 18-wheeler lost its load around 7 a.m.

No injuries were reported in the minor accident.
