The Texas Girls Coaches Association has released their 2013 pre-season softball poll, and East Texas is well-represented, especially in Class 3A.

In that division, Jasper sits at the top spot while the defending state champion Hudson Lady Hornets are at number 2, followed by last year's state runner-up, Henderson.  Huntington, Rusk, Carthage, and Crockett also received recognition in that classification, but did not make the top ten.

In Class 2A, Central Heights is ranked number 9 in the pre-season poll, while in class 1A, Beckville is at number 5.
