Meet Missy, our KICKS 105/Winnie Berry Pet of the Week.  Missy is an adult female poodle mix who is looking for a forever home.

This week, we're trying something a little different.  I can certainly vouch for Missy that she is a wonderful, sweet little girl who would make a great addition to any home and family, but that doesn't let you truly know all there is to know about her.  So, I decided to ask Missy a few questions so that we all learn a little more about what makes her tick.

Missy: (interrupting) "Please don't use the word tick, that's kind of taboo in conversations with dogs and cats."

Me: "Ah, of course, my apologies. So, Missy, may I ask you a few questions?"

Missy: "Yes, no fur off my back."

Me: "Do you have a favorite color?"

Missy:  "Brown. But, that's how I see red and pink colors.  Dogs see colors differently than humans.  I see the bandana I'm wearing as brown, but you see it as pink."

Me: "Wow!  I didn't realize that.  Do you like listening to music, and, if so, what are some of your favorite songs?"

Missy: "I love music! Let's see...some of my favorites would be Who Let the Dogs Out, Ol' Red, Hound Dog, Take Me Home Tonight,...I pretty much like all music except for songs that have really high notes."

Me: "Do you have a favorite place to be scratched?"

Missy: (blushingly) "On my tummy...yes, right there...just rub back and forth - HOLY DOG TREATS, YOUR HANDS ARE LIKE ICE!"

Me: "Sorry about that, I was just holding a drink.  One final question, do you have any hidden talents, like can you sit up, play dead...?"

Missy: "I tell jokes."

Me: "You WHAT?"

Missy: "I tell jokes.  What did the dalmatian say after he got through eating?"

Me:  "No idea"

Missy: "Boy, that hit the spot. Why don't dogs make good dancers?...Because they have two left feet."

Me:  "Wow, that's a heck of a talent."

Missy: "Yeah, thanks.  I love telling jokes to anyone that will listen, except cats...they just sit there and stare."

Me:  "Yeah, cats are a ruff crowd...(pause)"

Missy: (paw on forehead) "I can't believe you just said that."

Please contact the Winnie Berry Adoption Center in Lufkin to find Missy and many other dogs and cats that would make a great addition to your family.
