On Wednesday, October 14th, students at Raguet Elementary in Nacogdoches did something that will make a lasting impression...possibly for generations to come.

According to a NISD press release students signed their names on a concrete slab that will be part of the north wall in the cafeteria. Assistant Principal James Allen came up with the idea of giving students a opportunity to interact with the construction going on around the campus. Students were able to make their mark in a part of Raguet Elementary history so that one day they can explain to their children how they made memories at school.

“The next group of contractors will see it,” said Director of Facilities, Maintenance and Construction, Ralph LaRue. “It will be a time capsule of sorts for the future.”

In the future the Mr. Allen would like to continue this fun and creative experience for the children, on the up coming classroom additions on the opposite side of the campus.
