Randy Travis' brother, David, was arrested twice in recent weeks, including an arrest last Thursday (Sept. 13) on charges of methamphetamine possession, manufacturing drugs and drug paraphernalia possession. David Traywick (Travis was born Randy Traywick) was also arrested on Aug. 27 in Union County on second degree trespassing and communicating threats charges.

The 49-year-old younger brother to the famous country singer was released after the first arrest on $500 bond. It's not clear if he's been released after his most recent arrest, first reported by WSOC-TV in Charlotte, N.C. Jessica Traywick was also arrested with David on Sept. 13, but was not charged with manufacturing. According to Arrests.org, her bond was set at $2,000.

The arrests took place in Randy Travis's hometown of Marshville, N.C., which is southeast of Charlotte. During his younger years, the singer was arrested frequently for various offenses in the area, but turned his life around before becoming a country music superstar. The singer's recent troubles seem to be unrelated to those of his younger brother.
