Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock's divorce is official. The country icon confirmed the news in a comment on Facebook on Thursday (Dec. 17).

On the social media platform, McEntire shared a photo of five people on her management team who have been working with her for more than 20 years, Blackstock among them. Blackstock now runs a management company that represents McEntire, as well as his daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton.) In the comments section under the photo, McEntire notes that she and Blackstock finalized their divorce on Oct. 28.

McEntire and Blackstock announced their separation in early August, saying that, at that time, they had been separated for the past several months.

“Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other,” a statement said. “They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time.”

The couple had been together for 26 years before separating. Prior to their marriage in 1989, both McEntire and Blackstock had been married once before. Together, they have one son, Shelby Blackstock. Narvel Blackstock also has three children from a previous marriage, including Clarkson’s husband, Brandon Blackstock.

“I look forward to what’s next,” McEntire says. “... God is my manager, my tour manager, my scheduler, everything, and He’ll come up with the greatest things ..."
