It's been a great year of movies at the historic Pines theater in downtown Lufkin. Our $5 Film series has brought timeless classics back to the big screen each month to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, but to also give you a fun movie experience on a budget.

For the month of July, we'll be bringing the high action/science fiction trilogy of, 'The Matrix' back to the big screen for one night.

July 1st, we'll be 'freeing your minds' with the movies that helped change action movies forever ... and made us question reality as we know it.

Hard to believe 'The Matrix' is almost 20 years old, and with so many copy cat movies that have been made in its wake, the premise isn't as hard to understand as maybe the first time you saw it. It may have spawned animated movies, and a couple of video games, but none of those beat the excitement of the movies.

Doors will open at 6 PM (An hour earlier than normal) An the first movie will begin at 7 PM. The entire run time of all three movies is a little under 7 hours, so the question is,  "Do you have the stamina to watch all three?"

Ticket proceeds will benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Presented by DOC, Dedicated Orthopedic Care.
