Auburn University has two mascots.  They are most commonly referred to as the Auburn Tigers, and they have someone in the sidelines at home football games dressed in a tiger suit.

However, Auburn is also known as the War Eagles, and before every home game, a trained eagle named 'Spirit'  is released into the stadium, makes a few swoops, and then lands at the fifty yard line....at least, that's the plan.

This past Saturday, something was a little off with 'Spirit's' coordination...not sure if it was nerves or fermented berries, but the eagle hit's the plexiglass of the press box and then swoops just above the crowd a couple of times before safely landing as scheduled.
