According to a release from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office (NCSO), on Thursday afternoon, July 13th, the NCSO conducted a search warrant at a residence on Pecan Street.  

Found at the residence was the primary suspect in the investigation, James Johnson (top middle photo).  Investigators conducted a search of the residence that resulted in the seizure of ½ pound of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Johnson, 62, from Nacogdoches was transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail and booked in on Possession of Marijuana, a state jail felony.

On Friday July 14th, the NCSO and the Nacogdoches Police Department conducted a joint investigation. Both agencies executed a search warrant on a residence located on Hollywood Street in Nacogdoches.  Jose Eduardo Roque, 46, (top right photo) was the primary suspect in the ongoing investigation. Officers from both agencies conducted a search of the residence which led to the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana and two handguns. Roque was charged with Delivery of Controlled Substance, felony 2nd degree, unlawful possession of a firearm by felon , 3rd degree felony and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Roque was transported and booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.

On July 17th, around 1:00 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan passenger vehicle for a traffic violation on highway 59 North. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as Halston Lewis, 25, from Hurst, Illinois. Lewis was very nervous while speaking with deputies and gave conflicting statements about his trip. Deputies received consent to search the vehicle. The search led to the seizure of 10.4 lbs. of marijuana concealed in the trunk of the vehicle. Lewis was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. His bond was set at $25,000.00 dollars.

On July 18th, around 2:00 am, deputies stopped a grey Honda civic for a traffic violation in the 2500 block of South Street. There were five occupants inside the vehicle that were all later arrested. All subjects were very nervous and deputies suspected criminal activity due to their behavior. Deputies obtained consent to search the motor vehicle. During the search deputies discovered 1.4 pounds of marijuana, and 35.1 grams of THC wax .

Kelvin Scott, 22(bottom left photo), Wael Laarits,19 (bottom middle photo), Domineek Mojica,19 (bottom right photo), Abril Morales, 20 (top left photo), all from Nacogdoches and Jeffery Davis, 20, from San Antonio were all arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance a 2nd felony and Possession of marijuana a state jail felony.
