Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Most of Deep East Texas
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the following counties until 6:45 this evening: Angelina, Nacogdoches, Sabine, San Augustine, Polk, Trinity, Houston, and Tyler.
This means that conditions are favorable in the area for the development of strong to severe storms which could include gusty winds and small hail. These storms are developing in front of a cool front that is currently pushing across the Brazos Valley.
At 1 p.m., a line of moderate to strong storms was indicated by radar from near Carthage to Mt. Enterprise to near Crockett. This line was pushing east and northeast.
