A round of severe storms are possible for parts of the Pineywoods before Midnight tonight.  

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 p.m. tonight for portions of central, southeast, and east Texas.  Deep East Texas counties that are included are Angelina, Cherokee, Houston, Trinity, and Polk counties.

At 4 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, scattered thunderstorms are forming across parts of central Texas and the Brazos Valley.  These storms are expected to increase in coverage and intensity while developing eastward and southeastward through this evening.

The strongest storms will be capable of producing severe hail and potentially damaging surface wind gusts.  Hail up to 2 inches in diameter and wind gusts up to 70 mph are possible is some of the most severe storms.
